Exceeded My Expectations

Jacinta was part of my birth team during her apprenticeship when I had my son in October, 2024. After a chaotic hospital birth with my daughter two years prior, I wanted a completely different experience: a calm, serene water birth at home. I wanted to feel respected, informed, and safe. The care provided by the entire team--and Jacinta in particular--exceeded my expectations in ways words can't describe. Even when things didn't go as planned and I ended up delivering in a hotel suite on the bathroom floor, with only my husband present (a long story!), Jacinta and the birth team pivoted perfectly, and still arrived IMMEDIATELY after I had given birth, and stepped right in! I still get emotional remembering Jacinta helping me up when I was too weak to stand; it truly solidified her professionalism and heart. Her care didn't end there! The postpartum support was exceptional, from phone calls to in-home visits. It was actually because of a discussion with Jacinta that my husband and I decided to get our son's lip and tongue ties corrected at almost three months, and he's been thriving ever since! We had a beautiful experience, and I would highly recommend her to anyone considering the non-hospital route. It was a journey that I often rave about to others, and I would never choose any other way, any other team, or any other midwife than Ms. Jacinta!
